Tired of IT updates? Make the next one permanent

Server crashes, PC slowdowns, network viruses, managed service plans barely keeping you up and running, programs shutting down in the middle of an operation, adware and malware, outdated server in need of replacement, old PCs on their last legs; really, do you need all the hassle and expense that these represent? You’re over thirty, right? It’s just the price you pay to play games and take advantage of the incredible computing and storage power that a PC network offers.

But if you could throw the whole thing out and get the computing power, would you? You’d be crazy to turn that down, right? Think about it, computing power without computers. A serverless network. And super secure storage accessible from anywhere. Well come on, that sounds like a dream world!

But decidedly not. This is exactly what a cloud network can do for you, and don’t worry about being surprised, it happens all the time. In fact, one of the first reactions is that “it sounds too good to be true.” But we certainly experience a similar feeling with cell phones and then smartphones, laptops, tablets, and again with the next big wave. It gets better every time.

My vision from the beginning has been to rid a business owner or operator of as much of their computing woes as possible. To make it less expensive, out of sight, but more powerful and faster than ever. Today you can have a network installed without leaving any moving parts in the office. No server, no PC, and seriously, a quarter of one percent of the problems facing an outdated hardware network. I know it sounds incredible, but when you replace a tower PC with a caddy, a cloud access device with no moving parts, a lot of troublesome issues arise.

Get rid of the server because now your server is in a super secure data center. Access it over the Internet from anywhere, any device, at any time. So what’s left to go wrong? The vast majority of issues that arise can now be handled remotely. It really is a beautiful thing, but the real beauty is that you are now free to focus on what you do, no matter what business it is.

Computing progress is an inexorable march toward ease of use, ever-faster computing speeds, seemingly unlimited storage, and capabilities so complex that few of us can keep up. But for businesses this progress means reducing IT to the level of a utility. You plug and play and buy and pay as much or as little as you need. It is an exciting development.
