No one knows for sure where red nose pitbulls come from or what country, however there are records that clearly show the information we do know is that they largely come from Ireland. Red Nose Pit Bulls are rare and extremely sought after because they come from something called the Old Family Red Nose strain and it is an exceptionally old strain. The red-nosed pit bull is thought to have been blackened for appearance alone due to the conspicuous red nose, of course, but also red eyes, red lips, and generally red toenails.

Red-nosed Pitbulls in North America

John Sullivan, a once famous boxer turned police officer from Boston, came to the US to fight in a world heavyweight championship from Ireland. Once he was in the United States, he decided that he would like to stay and began to put down roots. While doing this, he contacted his parents and asked them to send their red nose pitbulls from Ireland. This was the start of a business for John because years later his experience and general knowledge of the old family of red nose pit bulls. His name is even found and mentioned in pit bull history, and if you’re already a red-nosed pit bull lover, chances are his name sounds surprisingly familiar. It was around these times that this ‘old family’ dog was introduced to North America and now the breed is fully established in the United States as well.

Having said the above, Pit Bulls can be a very pleasant pet as long as you teach them early not to be aggressive and in all likelihood, if you are looking for a Pit Bull, you know a thing or two about their behavior patterns. It would be wise to seek the advice of a professional perhaps where you buy the dog to breed a well behaved dog that you can trust and not be afraid of however keep in mind that these dogs have gone from never doing anything wrong in the way of aggression to chew on a three-year-old boy who walked past his garden fence. Choose your pets carefully and remember that fighting two pit bulls is more dangerous than one.

Despite the myths you may hear, Red Nose Pit Bulls are no more or less aggressive than any other type of Pit Bull, in fact they all have good and bad things just like anything else in life. However, due to so much interbreeding since those times, red nose pit bulls appear in different breeds of pit bulls all the time.
