Another way to clean column radiators is by using a brush attachment. This way, you can get rid of the dirt without damaging the surface of the radiator. A long stick can also be wrapped with a clean, dry cloth and secured with sellotape. Lastly, you can place a dust sheet underneath the radiator so that you can easily push the dust sheet down the radiator. Then, you’re all set to start cleaning your radiator.
Before cleaning a column radiator, you need to remove the grille cover. This will enable you to access any gaps between the panels. Using a radiator brush can be useful to remove trapped dust. Make sure to hold the brush at arm’s length. You can also use a vacuum cleaner with a narrow nozzle attachment to clean the radiator. Once you’ve finished cleaning the radiator, make sure to remove any remaining patches of dust.
Before you begin cleaning your radiator, make sure you have a bucket or container nearby. Remember that water from your radiator will drip when you remove it from the wall, so make sure you have a container nearby. Afterwards, use a paint roller tray to catch any drips. This will also allow you to get in between the tiny crevices of the column radiator.
