Crafting: 16 Creative Ideas to Turn Baby Food Jars Into Crafts

When it comes to frugal crafts, I like to repurpose normal household garbage in new craft projects. One of the items I like to use is empty baby food jars. These little jars can be reused in many different types of craft projects.

You can paint them or leave them plain. One of my quick and easy ways to decorate them is to simply tape a 1/4 “wide ribbon around the edge of the caps and then glue a tassel or fabric pillow on top. You can accentuate the tassel with a ribbon bow. satin ribbon or keep it plain.

Here are some ideas:

1. Bath Salt Containers (fill with your favorite homemade bath salts)

2. Bubble bath and bath oils

3. Hold stationery supplies (staples, paper clips, rubber bands, pencil leads, etc.)

4. Turn them into a pin cushion

5. Hold sewing supplies (needles, bobbins, buttons, clips, etc.)

6. Hold craft supplies (buttons, beads, studs, buttonholes, etc.)

7. Hold the loose tea and gift it.

8. Candlestick (for candle wax in them or just place a light candle inside)

9. Toothpick holder

10. Party favors (decorate for party favors and fill with candy)

11. Bubble solution to blow (make a homemade bubble solution for children)

14. Containers of homemade body butter (fill with body lotions and homemade body butter)

15. Lip balm tube organizer (you can put 4-5 standard lip balm tubes inside)
