What is affiliate marketing and does it work?

So most of the people today want to start an online business. Like internet, MLM or network marketing and want to get rich overnight or push a magic button and money will appear. Be real and know that all of these described marketing positions work, given time, focus and dedication, just like any other job or job you can find.

Network and internet marketing is related to MLM. In a sense, you need to use the internet and networking skills to find potential clients through social media, blogs, and forums. You can earn a lot of money once you get involved in network marketing along with MLM. As they say “it takes money to make money”. Your marketing budget will largely determine the quantity and quality of leads you begin to attract. Hence the term attraction marketing.

As your awareness begins to grow along with the number of times your followers view you, certain places like social networking sites, blogs, and other public events will determine your reputation and credibility. As you continue to grow through the ropes, you can monetize your sites and blogs while funneling potential leads into your business. Hence the term affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is used a lot in the early stages of people’s MLM businesses and websites. It’s so easy that you don’t have to market or manufacture your own product, you can simply market someone else’s product or service. This tactic helped me make over $1,800 in less than a month promoting The Tweet Tank when it first came out. (Twitter automation software).

The tactics I used during that roughly 24-day period were as follows.

1. The Tweet Tank – The same software I was promoting I used to generate leads through Twitter.

2. I blew up my list – I went through my list twice a week showing them the results I was getting with this software.

3. Write Articles – Info Mine is a revenue sharing site and you can post articles there and I used to reference your site but not anymore. But it still pays quite well with AdSense.

4. Blogging – Blogging is becoming a very powerful tool and it has been so powerful that now more people are taking notice. Google loves new content and if you provide it, it will send the traffic.

5. PPC – Of course, without Facebook and AdWords, my # wouldn’t have been possible, but keep in mind I only spent about $80 to market this product and got 67+ leads. Yeah, I had AdWords inactive until I got the slap in the face from Google. But it’s okay, Google, I still love you. Well, something like that.
