This article is about a book called “THE SCIENCE OF GETTING RICH,” written in 1910 by a man named Wallace D. Wattle. The principles promulgated by this man, if followed, will make you rich in mathematical certainty. Because the principles are not philosophical but pragmatic.
He stated that “There is a thinking substance (God or Supreme Being) from which all things are made and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates and fills the intermediate spaces of the universe.
A thought in this substance produces what the thought represents.
Man can form things in his thought, and by imprinting his thought on a formless substance, he can make him believe what he thinks.
For example, assuming you want to build a house, all you need to do is have a mental picture of the type of house you want to build, the number of rooms, bathroom, kitchen, location of the house, type of floor, tiles, marbles, roof, ceiling, windows, doors, all the detailed information of the house. And by imprinting the thought of this house into shapeless substance, you will create the definition of the image you have, the strength of your purpose, the strength of your faith, and the depth of your gratitude that you already have the house.
To do this, man must move from the competitive to the creative mind; otherwise it cannot be in harmony with Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.
Man can become in full harmony with the formless Substance by harboring a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon him. Gratitude unifies the mind of man with the intelligence of Substance (God), so that the thoughts of man are received by the Formless. Man can remain on the creative plane only by joining the Formless Intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.
Man must form a clear and definite mental image of the things he wishes to have, do, or become; and you should keep this mental image in your thoughts, while feeling deeply grateful to the Supreme that all your wishes are granted. The man who wishes to enrich himself should spend his leisure hours contemplating his Vision and sincerely giving thanks that reality is being given to him. The importance of frequent mental image contemplation, coupled with unwavering faith and devoted gratitude, cannot be overemphasized. This is the process by which the formless is given the impression and creative forces are set in motion.
Creative energy works through established channels of natural growth and the industrial and social order. Everything that is included in your mental picture will surely be brought to the man who follows the instructions given above and whose faith does not waver. What you want will come to you through the established forms of commerce and trade.
To receive his when it comes, man must be active; and this activity can only consist of more than taking your current place. You must keep in mind the Purpose of enriching yourself through the realization of your mental image. And you must do, every day, everything you can do that day, taking care that each act is successful. It must give each man a use value that exceeds the cash value he receives, so that each transaction generates more life; and you must maintain Forward Thinking in such a way that the impression of augmentation is communicated to all those with whom it comes in contact.
Men and women who practice the above instructions will certainly get rich; and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to the precision of their vision, the strength of their purpose, the strength of their faith, and the depth of their gratitude.
